Why did Barack Hussein Obama make the famous ‘One-Finger ISIS’ salute at the African Leaders’ Summit in Washington D.C.?

A photo taken at last August’s U.S.-African Leaders’ Summit in Washington D.C. might shed considerable light. It shows Barack Hussein Obama flashing the one-finger affirmation of the Islamic State to dozens of African delegates.

American Thinker  The Associated Press took this astonishing photo as the African dignitaries joined Obama, who hosted the event, in a State Department auditorium for a group photograph.  It was published in an article in Britain’s Daily Mail, and it was the only use ever of the photo.

The one-finger display is the distinctive Muslim gang sign (most notably the sign of ISIS): The index finger points straight up while the thumb wraps underneath and presses against the digital phalange of the middle finger.  The remaining fingers are squeezed against the palm in order to highlight the extended forefinger.

The extended finger is symbolic of the one-God concept of Muhammad and is understood by all believers to be a symbolicshahada, the Muslim affirmation of faith: There is but one God and Muhammad is his messenger.

Thus when believers stick their index finger in the air, they demonstrate they are partisans of Muhammad’s God concept.  And they also affirm their belief in Muhammad’s claim he was the interface between God and man. They also demonstrate they are part of the umma, the exclusive transtribal supertribe of believers that Muhammad started 1,400 years ago.

With his forefinger in the air, Obama affirmed his membership in this tribe.

African dignitaries understood, and a range of reactions can be detected among the ones who observed the gesture: amusement, surprise, curiosity, disapproval, contempt. 

Note the reactions of Abdelilah Berkirane, the prime minister of Morroco pictured just behind Obama’s left shoulder, and Ibrahim Boubacas Keita, the president of Mali in white garb and hat. They are Muslims through and through, and they are all smiles. They knew what Obama’s upright forefinger meant.

The reaction of Togo president Faure Gnassingbe, at the top row second to the left, is less approving.  Through his face you can read the mind of this Sorbonne- and George Washington University educated leader. His mind is screaming, “You gotta be kidding!”

Gnassingbe’s country is squeezed between Benin and the Ivory Coast and is not far from Nigeria and its Boko Haram plague — perhaps a two-hour flight in a slow Cessna from Togo’s capital to the Nigerian capital, less than an hour in something faster. 

At the time of the Washington conference, Boko Haram’s leader Abubakar Shekau had just declared Borno State in northeastern Nigeria as the seat of his caliphate.  Massacres of entire villages were taking place; only a few months earlier nearly three hundred girls were abducted from a Borno secondary school.

Togo has seven million people, 50 percent animists, 30 percent Christian.  The remainder are Muslims, part of the umma. Gnassingbe and all other non-Muslims of Togo have reason to worry about radicalization of some of these members of the transtribal supertribe of Muhammad who reside among them. And so his look of disdain. “You gotta be kidding.”

Maybe it was Obama’s idea of a joke, but that is unlikely.  The finger in the air was a position statement brazenly stated.  His entire administration has been a promotion of Islam at home and abroad, and just cataloging the evidence would fill a book.  He has made this country cozy for Islam, from ordering NASA to make Muslims feel good about themselves to calling ISIS beheading victim Peter Kassig by the Muslim name that he had adopted in the vain hope of saving his life.

If only Obama’s coziness were limited to such gestures, but from the very beginning of his administration, he labored to topple the strongman governments that had kept a lid on Islamic extremism:  Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen.  Overthrowing the Syrian government was also part the program, not yet achieved but still possible.

The methodology of each was a tactic from old-school radicalism: stir up domestic trouble that triggers a crackdown, then use the reaction to discredit the government and as a pretext for stirring up greater cycles of trouble until the targeted regime is replaced.

Obama is comfortable with Islam’s extreme.  He arms such people throughout the Middle East.  He has let them into our government.  He supported the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muhammad Morsi as the replacement for Hosni Mubarak, a staunch US ally and enemy of the Muslim Brotherhood, and threatened and bullied Egypt when a massive revolt replaced Morsi with a religious moderate.

The thread of all of these efforts was the reestablishment of the Islamic caliphate, the line of successors of Muhammad that ended nearly a century ago with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.  This has always been a Muslim Brotherhood objective.  In their grandiose plans, the reestablished caliphate would stretch across the Middle East with Jerusalem as its capital. 

The glory of Islam resurrected!  These people aspire to world domination, and the caliphate would serve as the base for an ever-expanding war on the world until domination is achieved.  That was always the goal of their role model.  Muhammad ordered his followers to make Islam the only religion — to create a universal umma.  As with Obama, they are just following orders.

There is nothing in Obama’s head that is American.  He is an antithetical American, a polar opposite of its values that he is routinely undermining.  He is an unabashed member of the transtribal supertribe that Muhammad created 1,400 years ago; he is of the umma, not of America.  His finger in the air at the African Leaders’ Conference is unambiguous evidence.

Think about it – he (Dick Morris) said all of this openly, thus if he were not truthful he’d be liable for defamation of character! And you better believe Hilary would sue him.

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying … he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary’s background . .

Beware as I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections;

Bill says: “In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor.”

The facts are: Hillary’s main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent.

She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committed to trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: “Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children’s rights project for poor kids.”

The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party.

She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: “Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers.”

The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar.

She had no job offers in Arkansas , none, and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there.

She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says: “President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman.”

The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill’s support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy.

Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter’s choice to be chairman.

Bill says: “She served on the board of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.”

The facts are: Yes she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-Mart board of directors, for a substantial fee.

She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says: “Hillary didn’t succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance.”

The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott.

I know; I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals’ tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says: “Hillary was the face of America all over the world.”

The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House.

Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says: “Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children’s and women’s issues.”

The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation.

One set up a national park in Puerto Rico .

A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer’s or other conditions.

And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation.

Presently she is trying to have the US memorialize the Woodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.

Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton.

She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country (that’s you and me!) when it comes to the war on terror.

1. She wants to close GITMO and move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.

2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA .

3. She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.

4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells and supporters in the USA

5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.

One cannot think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror.

But, one can think of a lot of comments she has made that weaken our country and makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us.

Bottom line:

She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned.

Share this with every male and female democrat you know … ask them to prove Dick Morris wrong.

Think about it – he (Dick Morris) said all of this openly, thus if he were not truthful he’d be liable for defamation of character! And you better believe Hilary would sue him.

There has been a covert war against the private sector to quash opposition to selling oil leases in lower Cook Inlet. This state allowed the destruction of a billion dollar a year renewable resource in favor of a non-renewable resource. We Alaskans are tired of being ripped off and being forced into poverty.

From 1960 to 2000 this state allowed two oil tankers a day to each dump ten-million gallons of ballast water taken from Los Angeles, Honolulu, Anacortes, and Korean boat harbors. Oil tankers have to take on ballast water to run in the open ocean otherwise they will flip over. The contaminated water they brought to Alaska contained trillions of bacteria, algae and nematodes that eat the inside out of the shrimp and crab eggs. You got to do the math to understand how this is possible. Sixty-five billion gallons of contaminated tanker ballast water each year for thirty years plus drill tailings from 200 oil wells, plus oil from military vessels and cruise ships destroyed a billion dollar a year shrimp and crab resource. The state statute fine for dumping ballast water was $500.

I was born in Seldovia and fished king crab twenty-five years. (See enclosed picture of my 72-foot boat Mary M, the house and shop that I built in Halibut Cove. We lost everything due to State greed. We were forced to move onto our salmon fish sites in Tuxedni Bay. Our children suffered because we were destitute. Hundreds of fishermen lost their boats and gear worth a billion dollars.

The fishery is supposed to be a renewable resource but when you got a state intent on raking in Billions from the sale of oil leases the private sector hasn't got a chance. They wanted to make Cook Inlet look like the Gulf of Mexico with oil rigs all down Shelikoff Strait. The State never sold many oil leases in lower Cook Inlet because there is little oil there. This terrible crime and violation of the state constitution was for nothing. It was a crime borrowed from the federal government’s COLD WAR covert-operations of social engineering and mind control. They blamed the fishermen. Because there is no state income tax we, the people mean nothing to them.

 

            From 1960 to 1980 we had a 7.5 to 10 million pound king crab quota in lower Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay. We also had a 14-million pound king crab quota around Kodiak Island. We used to catch the Cook Inlet quota in three or four weeks starting August 10 to the first week in September. Add those two quotas together and you get 25-million+ pounds. At $10 a pound what would be 250-million dollars. Add an additional 250-million dollars for the loss of the shrimp, Dungeness and snow crab fisheries and you get 500-million dollars a year annual seafood harvest. The processors and retailers would have received another 500-million dollars for the value-added, product. That totals a billion dollars a year lost to the villages of Kodiak Island, Homer and Seldovia. Thousands of fish processors lost their jobs and had to relocate. Hundreds of fishermen including me lost our boats and gear totaling over a billion dollars. It was not only a Constitutional Violation it was a betrayal of public trust and a crime.

Over a 54 year time period the State of Alaska turned a blind eye to the dumping of billions of gallons of oil tanker ballast water into lower Cook Inlet taken from the Los Angeles, Honolulu and Anacortes boat harbors – the primary cause of the demise of the crab and shrimp fisheries in Kodiak and lower Cook Inlet. Between 1960 to 1990 the State of Alaska also ignored leaking underwater oil pipelines and the dumping of drill tailings from over 200 wells and “eight” major oil well blowouts that mixed billions of gallons of oil and natural gas into the tide waters. The tremendous amount of toxins released into the environment reduced the biomass of the plankton blooms and altered the organisms that make up the food chain thus causing the decimation of the shrimp and crab fisheries in Cook Inlet and Kodiak. Twenty-million-gallons of sewage discharged daily from the City of Anchorage and more from Palmer and Wasilla outflows contribute to the ongoing environmental damage robbing crab and shrimp fishermen of approximately a $500,000,000.00 annual resource harvest. Double that for the value added product to the processors and towns equals a billion dollars a year. 

BELOW IS THE BOAT AND HOUSE I LOST LOCATED IN HALIBUT COVER ALASKA. TRY AND BUILD A 72-FOOT FISHING BOAT FOR LESS THAN A MILLION TODAY. I OWNED OVER 200 CRAB POTS WORTH $500 APIECE. NOW THEY GO FOR A THOUSAND DOLLAR EACH. I had a 20-by 40 two-story warehouse with a web loft upstairs and a metal lathe and welders downstairs. I lost everything becase the state wanted to make lower Cook Inlet look like the Gulf of Mexico with oil rigs all down Shelikoff Strait. It never happened because there is no oil there... 

It took me a long time to figure this out. At the time, 30-years ago, we didn’t know what was happening to us. Thousands of cannery workers lost their jobs and many processors went bankrupt. Several towns lost their infrastructure and had to depend on State and Federal grants to provide services to their residents. Conservatively speaking, the total cost to the private sector is over billion dollars a year. There is no state income tax so we mean nothing to them.    

In a state documentary EXXON VALDEZE TWENTY YEARS AFTER THE SPILL ‘State biologists stated that they had identified 300 foreign species that were introduced into Prince William Sound from oil tanker ballast water.’ How many species of foreign organisms were not identified? Three thousand?-- thirty thousand? How many foreign organisms like worms and nematodes that bore inside crab and shrimp eggs were introduced into Cook Inlet and Kodiak waters from 1960 to 2014?

We lost the king crab, tanners, Dungeness and shrimp due to pollution in lower Cook Inlet. The salmon will be gone next. The fall floods we have been having the last couple years wash all the eggs out of the nests. The floods also wash all the dead salmon carcasses out of the lakes and streams so that the cocopod bloom in the spring has little fertilizer to grow on. When the few remaining fry have little or nothing to eat they starve and or leave the river about half the size that they should be. Salmon fry don’t survive well in the open ocean when they are undersized and weak from mal-nutrition. They don’t have enough strength to escape from predators. 

Feeder fish like the king salmon and silvers have to eat polluted needle fish and herring with big cancer sores on their sides. What the herring and needle fish have to eat is the wrong food composed of foreign organisms brought in by oil tankers from other parts of the world. Then you have the 20-million gallons per day sewage from Anchorage, Palmer and Wasilla and toxic chemicals. The criminals running this state caused us to lose a billion-dollar a year crab and shrimp fishery. The salmon will be next. It is a crime what they are doing with four hundred outboards discharging exhaust gas into the water of the Kenai River.

You got thousands of tons of road salt dumped on the highways each year. You got hundreds of thousands of gallons antifreeze used to defrost jet planes at Anchorage International Airport. There is an antifreeze dump near the inlet. All that foreign material winds up in Cook Inlet.

During most of the Cold War the B-52 bombers carrying nuclear weapons would dump all their remaining jet fuel into upper Cook Inlet and over the Indian village of Tyonic. Half the weight of a loaded B-52 is fuel. They have to dump most of it before landing on their spindly landing gear at Almondorf in Anchorage. The tires are only two feet in diameter but they carry four hundred pounds per square inch of air pressure. It’s much too dangerous to land a B-52 with nuclear weapons on board with half a load of fuel. If the landing gear were to give way and one of those nukes went off the entire city of Anchorage would disappear in a gigantic cloud of radioactive dust.

The Indian village of Tyonic had the highest cancer rate of any town in the nation. Attorney, Stanley McKutchen sued the Federal Government and won. They stopped dumping jet fuel on Tyonic. Stanley McKutchen is dead. Funny how so many people concerned about the environment are now dead...

Tom, a 79-year old friend said, “There were six of us standing by the runway in Anchorage watching a B-52 come in for a landing. It seemed lower than usual and touched down about 600-feet short of the runway. The tail gunner sits in a bubble that can be released by pulling on a lever. He saw what was happening and immediately released the bubble. The landing gear hit the railroad tracks sheared off. The plane slid down the asphalt runway with sparks and flame…” “Tom said. “She’s going to blow.” “We took off running away from the runway.” The explosion hurled the men thirty feet in the air as they were running. Twelve people were killed in the plane and one on the ground. The tail gunner survived. Tom said, “For the next two days we picked up pieces of bodies.” “A shoe with a foot in it, an arm here, a leg there…”

One more thing you should probably add in my letter to the Editor is the fact the Federal Government didn't build fire breaks on its land and let 300-square miles of timber burn up impacting Funny river, Kenai River, Skilack and Tustamena Lakes. They brought in Canadian firefighting aircraft that dumped tons of red dye, fertilizer mixed with water onto the fire. All that runoff plus tons of charcoal and ashes -- we don't know what effect that will have on the salmon... The Federal Government shouldn't own any land if they can't take care of it…

Here in Alaska we have lost a billion dollar a year crab fishery in lower Cook Inlet that went directly into the pockets of the common folk and nobody seems to understand or care. Between the EXXON VALDEZ oil spill and the ongoing oil tanker discharges is a wonder we have any fishery at all.

Discharges of oil from shipping, offshore extraction of oil, and transport of oil in pipelines is the result of either accidents or "normal", deliberate operational discharges. Accidental discharges (oil spills) occur when vessels collide or come in distress at sea (engine breakdown, fire, explosion) and break open, or run aground close to the shore, or when there is a blowout of an offshore oil well, or when a pipeline breaks. Much can be done to avoid accidents, but there will always be unfortunate circumstances and situations that cause accidents to happen. Operational discharges, on the other hand, are mostly deliberate and "routine", and can to a very large extent be effectively controlled and avoided. It is much a question combining available technical solutions with information, education and a change of attitude among ship-owners, mariners, offshore platform and pipeline operators.

Ship-related operational discharges of oil include the discharge of bilge water from machinery spaces, fuel oil sludge, and oily ballast water from fuel tanks. Also other commercial vessels than tankers contribute operational discharges of oil from machinery spaces to the sea. Cargo-related operational discharges from tankers include the discharge of tank-washing residues and oily ballast water.
Before international regulations were introduced to prevent oil pollution from ships, the normal practice for oil tankers was to wash out the cargo tanks with water and then pump the resulting mixture of oil and water into the sea. Also, oil cargo or fuel tanks were used for ballast water and, consequently, oil was discharged into the sea when tankers flushed out the oil-contaminated ballast water to replace it with new oil.

• Crude oil washing systems (COW) means that the cargo tanks, where tankers carry the oil they transport, are cleaned by means of high-pressure flushing with crude oil ("oil to remove oil") or crude oil plus water. This reduces the quantity of oil remaining on board after discharge. The residues from such tank washing are pumped into slop tanks and left in a reception facility in port.
• Segregated ballast tanks (SBT). Ballast water is taken on board to maintain stability, such as when a vessel is sailing empty to pick up cargo or after having unloaded cargo. Ballast water contained in segregated ballast tanks never come into contact with either cargo oil or fuel oil.
• Clean ballast tanks. To have so-called dedicated clean ballast tanks (CBT) means that specific cargo tanks are dedicated to carry ballast water only.
• Operational oil separation and filtering equipment with an automatic stopping device. Bilge water is produced when the machinery spaces of a vessel are cleaned. Leaking cooling water often becomes contaminated with fuel oils and lubricant oils. Vessels in operation produce oil-contaminated bilge water to a variable extent. With the right equipment on board, dirty bilge water can be processed in a way that separates most of the oil from the water before it is discharged into the sea. If the oil content exceeds the limit, the discharge is automatically stopped (bilge alarm).

In a sea area with Special Area status under the international MARPOL Convention Annex I (so far, only the Mediterranean Sea area, the Baltic Sea area, the Red Sea area, the Gulf of Aden area, the Antarctic area, and the North West European waters) , it is altogether forbidden for oil tankers to discharge oil, oily sludge and oil-contaminated residues from tank washing, or heavily oil-contaminated ballast water. All oily wastes (mixtures) must be kept on board and stored in so-called slop tanks until the vessel reaches a reception facility in port. Furthermore, it is not allowed to discharge bilge water unless it has been properly cleaned and contains no more than 15 mg of oil per litre.
Most sea areas are not Special Areas, but in accordance with international regulations under MARPOL, attempts are nevertheless made to make large oil tankers and product carriers have equipment for crude oil washing and segregated ballast tanks. According to MARPOL Annex I, adopted in 1978, all new crude oil tankers of 20,000 dwt and above, and all new product carriers (30,000 dwt and above), must have SBT. Existing tankers over 40,000 dwt must be fitted either with SBT or with COW systems. For an interim period it was also allowed for some tankers to use CBT.
All oil tankers and other large vessels must be fitted with the equipment described above for bilge water cleaning. However, it has been emphasized that bilge water also contains traces of detergents used in the cleaning process. When mixed, the residues of oil and detergents form a stable emulsion with another density than oil. This sometimes milk-like but highly oil-contaminated mixture is not always "recognized" by the separation and filtering equipment, and thus discharged into the sea.

FROM OFFSHORE DRILLING:

Operational discharges in the offshore exploration for and extraction of oil and natural gas include operational wastes, such as drilling fluids/drilling muds, produced formation waters and formation cuttings, and machinery space discharges.
During drilling, specially formulated drilling fluids/drilling muds are used to cool and lubricate the drill bit, control pressure and bring the cuttings (rock or sand from a borehole) back to the surface. The mud is pumped down the drill pipe and into the hole at high velocity through nozzles in the drill bit. Drilling muds are usually a mixture of water, clay, a weighting material (usually barite), and various chemicals. Drilling muds are most commonly based on water (WBM), but in some cases mineral oil (OBM) or synthetics (SBM) is believed to be more biodegradable. Although the use of WBM is preferred, sometimes OBM or SBM has to be used when drilling conditions are more difficult. Inevitably, when drilling with OBM, rock cuttings are contaminated with oil from the muds. In the past when working offshore, these cuttings were often discharged into sea, in accordance with local regulation. Where OBM is used offshore, the spent mud and cuttings are now re-injected or transported to shore for treatment and disposal, or recycling. (The fluid is recycled through a circulation system where equipment mounted on the drilling rig separates out the drill cuttings and allows the clean fluid to be pumped back down into the hole.) The objective of environmental management of drilling operations is to attempt to minimise the potential environmental impacts (see APPEA and OEF).
Where one finds oil, one often also finds water. The water is either naturally present or has been injected into the reservoir to maintain pressure for production. The proportion of water produced increases as the oil field matures. As oil is drawn from a reservoir, it is therefore necessary to separate the water and return it to the ocean. This is what is known as produced formation water (PFW). Great emphasis is placed on ensuring that the water returned to the ocean is as free as possible from oil and chemicals. Strict regulations apply on how much petroleum hydrocarbon is contained in PFW. The objective of environmental management of produced water is to reduce the quantity and to improve the quality of discharged produced water (see APPEA and OEF).
As an oil well is drilled, the drill cuttings, consisted of crushed rock and clay, are brought to the surface by the drilling fluid/drilling mud and discharged overboard. New measures to reduce discharges, such as re-injecting the cuttings into the well, and slim hole drilling, are being examined and tested by the industry (see APPEA). According to Statoil, it ranks today as a tried and tested technology.
Similar to the bilge water from machinery spaces in ships, oil platform machinery space drainage is an oil-containing mixture. Operational oil separation and filtering equipment is thus needed to clean the drainage before it is discharged into the sea. If such equipment is not installed, the oily drainage should be kept on board until it can be transported to a reception facility.

FROM OFFSHORE PIPELINES:

There is no certain figure of how many miles of offshore pipelines there is in the world today. One estimation, published in the 2002 U.S. National Research Council (NRC) report, is 82,748 miles (about 52,000 kilometres) of pipelines. Operational discharges from offshore oil pipelines usually consist of chemical discharges during construction, hydrostatic testing, commissioning, pigging, and maintenance of the pipeline systems. Pipeline discharges usually contain corrosion and scale inhibitors, biocides, oxygen scavengers, and other agents. However, pipelines can also continuously leak oil in small quantities, although the line is intact. (When a pipeline breaks, however, the spill will be an acute one, like any other accidental oil spill.) Technical systems to detect and locate such smaller leaks are required as a means to avoid discharge of oil into the marine environment — as well as to save money for the pipeline operator.
